  • 8.3 per 1000 live births
     
  • For aproximately 50% there was no known cause
     
  • Down Syndrome accounted for aproximately 15% of all cases
     
  • Screening has effectively ended ID from phenylketonuria and congenital hypothyroidism
     
  • The rate of autism spectrum disorders rose from 3 to 6 per 10,000
